Tell Congress to Direct Federal Assistance to Farmers Who Need it Most!
Congress allocated more than $9 billion to support farmers that don’t traditionally get federal assistance, including produce growers and those who sell into local and regional food markets.
These small and mid-size growers stand to lose a great deal of their income due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The problem is there is little U.S. Department of Agriculture oversight to make sure this money doesn’t just go to large commodity farms and agri-businesses that are already getting millions in federal support.
Call your U.S. House Representatives and Senators and tell them to protect the farmers who feed our local communities.
